Children's Museum (of Mayhem and Crowdedness)

The boys and I decided to take Dada to the Children's Museum today. We arrived right when it opened so it was pretty uncrowded... at first.

We headed to The Center for the Young Child first.

Even though the boys were having a great time with the little cottage, the "fishing" boat (with poles and trout) and the other toddler-sized interests, I wanted to explore more of the museum and so herded them out (much to Ryan's disappointment).

He perked up a little once we made it to the miniature Whole Foods market, complete with a pizza kitchen and child-sized shopping carts.

The current exhibit 3, 2, 1...Blast-Off! explores aerodynamics, physics, technology and engineering - but Ryan and Jack just thought it was cool to shove scarves up the tube and watch them shoot up and out.

These tubes were fun too - you could pull a slider at the bottom of each to regulate the amount of air to push up cotton balls, foam rockets, feathers, etc.

It was starting to get very crowded at that point, so we made a quick stop at the Art Studio, and then headed to the cafe for lunch.

As usual, despite us dropping almost $40 on museum admission and lunch, the boys appeared to have the most fun at the playground outside. The FREE playground...
