Farm Time

After months of searching, Sam finally found a great new job as a sales engineer for Four Winds Interactive (starting 10/31). To celebrate, Sam's parents took us to one of the fanciest fried chicken restaurants in all of Lakewood, White Fence Farm.

It's known for being family-friendly (obviously) with a big playground out front, a petting zoo, and duck pond.

The property had been a family farm for long time and there are old farm implements around, like this plow.

It was easy to order dinner since the restaurant specializes in fried chicken and everything is served family style. I did order the roast turkey kids' meal for Ryan, and he ate the entire bowl of cranberry relish. They also specialize in corn fritters, which were really just little fried balls of uber-goodness dusted with powdered sugar.

A week later we met my aunt Jane and my cousin's son Samuel at Mile High Farms, a fall festival village with all manner of fun stuff for the littles.
