Sew Happy

Last weekend Sommer and I decided to be extremely crafty and sew our own cloth inserts for the g diapers. Yes, I do actually own a sewing machine (thanks, Mom!) and I almost know how to use it. I figured my sewing skills were sufficient to create something the child is going to poop on...

When they weren't "helping" us sew, the kids hung out on a blanket nearby. Kenz is perfecting her Kung Fu chop.

Practice makes perfect, and this video shows her well on her way to earning a black belt. Being the gracious gentleman that he is, Ryan doesn't resist:

Sam attempted to broker a peace deal by reading Dr. Seuss, but Kenz says, "Are you kidding? Like that bird really thinks a bulldozer is his mother!" Ryan is just looking for something else to put in his mouth.

Ali (another g baby) and her mom Lyndsay came over to see what all the hubbub was about.

Sam escaped to the basement to assemble an electric race track our nanny passed down to us. Obviously Ryan is a little young to play with it... but Sam's not!

On Saturday night we had dinner with Paul and Beth Wedlake and their adorable children.

Sophia lovin' on Ryan (he gets that a lot from the ladies!)
