Huntin'

We celebrated Easter at Bill and Nancy's house this year, and we invited our friends Jena and James with their son David and Raymond and Kristine with their son Eli. Nancy organized an egg hunt in the basement (it was cold and rainy outside) and gave all the boys beach pails to collect the eggs.

Boys in Blue

I usually get Jack dressed first thing in the morning, but I've learned to keep Ryan in his jammies until after he eats breakfast (so I don't have to change his clothes AGAIN after breakfast). I didn't realize until midway through the day today that I had dressed both boys in navy blue long-sleeve shirts and khaki pants, but I really had a laugh when Sam came home and I saw that he was ALSO wearing a navy blue shirt and khaki pants (he leaves the house before we are awake most days).

I grabbed my camera to document the silly coincidence of it all, but Ryan was not feeling cooperative...

"Mama, you can take my picture any day," says Jack.

Gifts from Grandma

I asked my mom to make a reversible drawstring bag for Ryan to tote a set of K'nex blocks in. She sent that and a beautiful cross-stitched alphabet quilt for Jack. It's easier to get pictures of Jack enjoying his gift than Ryan - he is SO busy!

Haircut

Nanny Joyce's sister Lisa is an aesthetician and hairstylist, and since she lives only a couple of blocks from us, she offered to come over and cut all of our hair. This was only Ryan's second professional haircut, and he did a great job (it helped that she cut Sam's hair first so Ryan knew what to expect).
